Transportation
Prague offers several easy and convenient ways to get around. The city has an excellent public transport system with metro lines, trams, and buses that are reliable and affordable. Walking is also a great option, especially in the historic center where many attractions are close to each other. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are widely available, and for a more active choice, you can rent bikes throughout the city.
From the Airport
At Prague Airport, Terminal 1 is used for flights outside the Schengen Area, while Terminal 2 serves flights within the Schengen Area. The terminals are located close to each other and are easily accessible on foot. When arriving or departing, make sure to check your terminal in advance, as passport control procedures differ between the two.

Travelling by Car
Just like any metropolis, Prague is struggling with an increase in the number of cars on the road and a lack of parking spaces. That is why going by car is only recommended if you travel long distances or outside the city.
Information on parking zones in Prague can be found at parking.praha.eu/en/parking-options-in-prague/parking-in-zones.
It is advisable to make use of P+R car parks where you can leave your car for the whole day fo a good price. Some P+R car parks are located directly at terminal metro stations, others can be found in key places convenient for drivers. You can find an up-to-date list of P+R car parks here parking.praha.eu/en/parking-options-in-prague/pr-park-ride
Rent a Bike
Prague has several bike-sharing options, such as Rekola and Nextbike, which allow you to pick up and drop off bikes at multiple locations across the city. Keep in mind, however, that Prague is quite hilly in some areas, and the cycling infrastructure isn’t as developed as in other European cities, so it’s best to plan your route carefully and be prepared for some uphill rides.
